Abstract
A new dibromotyrosine-derived metabolite (la) and the known compounds aerot hionin, moloka'iamine diacetate (2a), and 2,6-dibromo 4-hydroxy-4-acetamido -1,1-dimethoxy-2,5-cyclohexadiene have been isolated from the sponge Psamma plysilla purpurea and characterized by spectral studies.
