Circular dichroism determination of the conformation of optically pure 1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamino-substituted 1,3,5-triazine derivatives

CD data of the optically pure 2-ethoxy-4-hexylamino-6-[1-( l-naphthyl)ethyl amino]-1,3,5-triazine, 2-chloro-4,6-bis[ 1-(I-naphthyl)ethylamino]-1,3,5-tr iazine, and 2,4,6-tris[1-( l-naphthyl)ethylamino]-1,3,5-triazine are presen ted. The analysis of the CD spectra has afforded the conformational charact erization of the three 1,3,5-triazine derivatives. A detailed definition of the stereochemistry of these compounds has been obtained by a computing De Voe approach, using NMR information for the assumed conformation.
