Abstract
Peripelvic cysts can have a sonographic appearance that is similar to hydronephrosis. Two cases are described where the initial sonogram sug gested the diagnosis of pelvicalyceal obstruction, and on subsequent i ntravenous urography the correct diagnosis of peripelvic cysts was mad e.
