Abstract
The stability of gamma-irradiated ethylene-propylene elastomers, namely eth ylene-propylene copolymer (EPR) and ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EP DM) can be satisfactorily evaluated by the oxygen uptake method. The rates of oxidation induced by gamma radiation were assessed on the samples immers ed in aqueous sodium chloride solutions of Various concentrations, First an d second derivatives of [O-2] = f(time) dependencies are invoked for the ev aluation of oxidative degradation.
