Abstract
The design of CPW bandpass filters with electromagnetic simulations dr iven indirectly by an equal ripple based optimizer is presented. This vector procedure has several advantages over the general-purpose optim ization routines previously applied to the design of CPW filters. The filter, which employs three resonators with a combination of both edge and end coupling, has a center frequency of 23 GHz with a 1.8-GHz ban dwidth and a measured insertion loss of only -3.5 dB.
