Abstract
An overview of the literature is presented on the biology of the river s entering the Humber, eastern England, together with some of their tr ibutaries. Particular emphasis is given to dynamic aspects, including transport and movement within rivers, movement between rivers, process es within rivers and long-term changes. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
