Abstract
A measurement of the infrared collision-induced absorption spectrum of coll isional pairs of Ar and Xe atoms is reported. An improved empirical collisi on-induced dipole model is obtained, which, if combined with quantum line-s hape computations, permits an accurate reproduction of the measured spectru m.
