Abstract
Starting from an effective quark level Lagrangian for b --> s gamma and b - -> s gamma gamma, we calculate the process B-s --> gamma gamma using the bo und state model of Holdom and Sutherland. We discuss this model and its lim itations. We calculate the contributions from the well-known b --> s gamma magnetic-moment operator. There is also a nonnegligible contribution coming from operators that vanish on the free-quark mass shell. We find a branchi ng ratio of the order of 10(-7). [S0556-2821(98)02621-6].
