Abstract
Recently the DELPHI Collaboration reported new data on Bose-Einstein correl ations (BECs) measured in e(+) e(-) --> W+ W- events. Apparently no enhance ment has been observed. We analyze these data including final state interac tions (FSIs) of both Coulomb and strong (s-wave) origin and find that there is an enhancement in BECs but it is overshadowed by the FSIs which are ext remely important for those events. We find the following values for the siz e of the interaction range beta and the degree of coherence lambda: beta=0. 87+/-0.31 fm and lambda=1.19+/-0.48, respectively. [S0556-2821(98)08721-9].
