Abstract
In energetic heavy ion collisions, if a quark-gluon plasma is formed, its h adronization may lead to observable critical fluctuations, i.e., DCC format ion. The strength and observability of these fluctuations depend on the ini tial state. Here we study the canonical ensemble of initial states of chira l fluctuations in heavy ion collisions and the probability to obtain observ able domains of chiral condensates. [S0556-2821(98)10121-2].
