The possibility was studied of electrochemical synthesis of azodicarboxamid
e by oxidation of hydrazodicarboxamide with anodically generated bromine in
a diaphragmless electrolyzer. An electrolyte composition was found which a
llows performing the process with ORTA anodes. Electrolysis parameters were
determined at which the yield of the target product is as high as 93%. The
possibility was established of recycling the electrolyte solution.
