Mv. Genkin et La. Blumenfeld, REACTION OF FERRICYTOCHROME-C REDUCTION B Y ASCORBATE IN AQUEOUS-SOLUTION AFTER PRELIMINARY WATER-HEATING, Biofizika, 42(1), 1997, pp. 22-25
Preliminary heating the water or buffer solution at 65-75 degrees C le
ads to the increasing the rate of ferricytochrome c reduction by ascor
bate in the solutions after cooling down to 20 degrees C. The effect i
ncreases with the heating time which was varied from 2 to 6 hours. The
time of relaxation after 6 hours heating is about one day. We suppose
that this effect is caused by the changes in the framework of the wat
er H-bonds.
