Abstract
Anodic dissolution of a molybdenum rotating disk electrode is studied in 0. 11-9.84 M methane-sulfonic acid solutions. The Tafel slope of the transpass ive dissolution portion of polarization curve is determined. Effects of the acid concentration and the electrode rotation rate on the metal dissolutio n rate are determined at potentials more positive than the Tafel region (se condary passivity).
