Abstract
The prevalence of multidrug resistant Myobacterium tuberculosis is rising w
orldwide and carries a high fatality rate. Ws report here two cases of mult
idrug resistant Myobacterium tuberculosis infections, which were successful
ly treated in our hospital. The problems of antimicrobial therapy of this i
nfection are briefly highlighted and the attention of physicians is drawn t
o the ominous implications for community health.
