This Report reviews literature published Nov 1996-Dec 97; it is the third i n a series that summarises organic reactions performed on solid supports an d is designed as an update to Tetrahedron Reports no. 394 and 418. The reac tions are presented in a graphical abstract format and examples are given o f the following reactions: amide formation, aromatic substitution (nucleoph ilic/electrophilic), cleavage, condensation, cycloaddition, deprotection/pr otection, Grignard and related reactions, heterocycle formation, immobilisa tion onto resin, Michael addition, miscellaneous, multiple component conden sation, olefin formation, oxidation, reduction and substitution (nucleophil ic/electrophilic). Solid-phase peptide or other oligomer synthesis and reac tions using soluble polymeric supports are not included.
