On some principles of systematics

This essay briefly outlines the following points: the natural and cultural preconditions of systematics; the biological concept of species and its app licability; anagenesis and cladogenesis as the two aspects of the evolution ary process, and their bearing on systematics; the concept of a limited ref erence system, and the impossibility to make a uniform system for all organ isms.
