Abstract
AQUACONVERSION(TM) is a novel technology being offered by PDVSA-Intevep, UO P and Foster Wheeler as a commercial alternative both for refinery and well head applications. The technology combines conventional thermal pro cess ad vantages with the catalytic effects that promote moderate hydrogen addition at low cost its introduction opens new options both to increase refinery m argins, as well as in the heavy oil upgrading applications to produce a syn thetic crude oil that can be transported and processed in an existing refin ery.
