Abstract
The title compound {alternative name for this Schiff base: 4,4'-dibromo-2,2 '-[propanediylbis(nitrilometidyne)]diphenol; C17H16Br2N2O2} displays two st rong intramolecular N ... H-O hydrogen bonds within each salicylideneimine unit. The molecule is not planar and the two aromatic rings are inclined at an angle of 69.8 (1)degrees.
