Abstract
Gestosis and HELLP-syndrome are rare diseases in emergency medicine. Endoth elial dysfunction and mismatch of endothelial mediators cause a pregnancy i nduced systemic maternal disease with damage of an maternal organs. Especia lly heart and circulation, central nervous system, kidneys, liver blood, he mostasis and placenta are vulnerable. The HELLP-syndrome is a very serious kind of gestosis, Symptoms, diagnosis and therapy are discussed. Finally, r ecommendations are given for emergency physicians.
