Abstract
Most cancers have rare familial forms and cutaneous melanoma is no exceptio n. The studies carried out on the genetics of these rare types are of great importance because the knowledge gained from them is essential in the coun selling of patients. Also of great importance is the information it provide s regarding the basic aetiology of melanoma.
