We show the density of smooth functions in the space of square integrable v
ector fields whose curl, divergence, and tangential (or normal) trace on th
e boundary are square integrable. Our proof is based an the H-3/2 regularit
y Sor the Dirichlet and Neumann problems and constitutes a simplification a
