Abstract
The surface properties of blends of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with s tatistical copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile having 28 wt% of acryloni trile (SAN) have been studied as a function of blend compositions. The surf ace enrichment of PMMA was shown at all compositions of blends. Presented t heoretical calculations well correlate with experimental data. Spinodal dec omposition of the PMMA/SAN blend did not result in significant change in th e surface tension measured for these blends. This is due to the weak enthal pic interaction between the blend constituents. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
