Abstract
We analyze the proximity measure introduced by Pappis and, give a general d efinition of proximity measure in this paper. Based on the axiom definition of similarity measure, we discuss some properties of similarity measure. T he results, to some extent, could simplify the process of comparison of som e similarity measures of fuzzy values. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All r ights reserved.
