A 67-year old female first developed diplopia, tinnitus, nausea and vertigo
followed by severe truncal ataxia. After complete examination breast cance
r was discovered and treated. Furthermore, anti-Ri antibodies against Purki
nje cells of the cerebellum were detected. After breast-conserving therapy
the neurological symptoms improved substantially. In summary we report on a
rare paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration in a patient with breast cance
r and a prognostically good course of the neurological symptoms.
