Abstract
We compare a relativistic and thermodynamically consistent treatment for th e finite-volume effect of baryons in the phase transition between hadronic matter and quark-gluon plasma, with the previous non-relativistic treatment . We find that, according to the relativistic theory, this phase transition is possible only when the baryonic spectrum is upper bounded.
