Abstract
Expressions that describe a highly efficient thermionic mechanism of the ne bulization of dry residues from solutions in a thin-walled metal hollow cat hode were proposed and supported experimentally. A considerable effect of t he mass of the sputtering ion on the rate of sample atomization was demonst rated both theoretically and experimentally.
