Abstract
The thermal diffusivity of some pressed powder strontium oxide (SrO) and st rontium carbonate (SrCO3) samples has been measured from room temperature t o 1400 degrees C in vacuum and in an argon atmosphere using the laser flash technique. The structures of the samples have been analyzed using a scanni ng electron microscope and a theoretical model has been successfully used t o compare experimental data with model calculations.
