Abstract
The connection between the colossal magnetoresistance and the orbitally deg enerate d-electron correlation caused by the virtual phonon exchange is exp lored. This virtual phonon exchange is the result of the combination of the electron-phonon and electron-strain interactions with the phonon dispersio n. Two types of polarons are involved in the consideration of electrical co nductivity but the virtual phonon exchange and the corresponding electronic states ordering is crucial.
