Measurement of Stark broadening and shift parameters of several Ar I lines

This work reports Stark shifts and widths of 15 Art lines measured in a pul sed are. Plasma parameters, electron density and temperature, range in this experiment from 0.25 to 0.98 x 10(23) m(-3) and from 13 500 to 26500 K, re spectively. The former has been measured interferometrically at a single wa velength and spectroscopically from the H-alpha-Stark broadening. The latte r has been measured from the Boltzmann plot of Ar rr lines and from the rat io of Ar Ir and Art line intensities. Comparisons with most of the data pub lished to date about this topic in Arl are also included.
