We suppose that the solar neutrino problem is due only to the mechanism int
roduced by Ellis, Hagelin, Nanopoulos and Srednicki (EHNS) to allow pure qu
antum states to evolve into mixed ones. Lower limits on the EHNS parameters
(alpha, beta, gamma) are obtained. We find that gamma greater than or equa
l to 7.4 x 10(-22) GeV if alpha < 2 gamma and alpha greater than or equal t
o 1.5 x 10(-21) GeV if alpha > 2 gamma, with no constraint on beta This lim
it is consistent with the upper limits extracted from the K-0 - <(K-0)over
bar> system and can be detected in future experiments.
