Abstract
An X-ray crystallographic structure determination of the nitrate salt of th e gadolinium imBT cryptate shows coordination of two water molecules; NMRD relaxometry of this cryptate reveals a relaxivity of 5.8 mM(-1) s(-1) (at 1 0 MHz, 298 K and pH 6), which is pH sensitive over the range 4-9.
