Abstract
Compounding of filled or reinforced plastics directly in injection moulding offers the processor two advantages: he reduces his material costs and gai ns flexibility However; he needs a special machine which allows the transit ion from continuous compounding, to discontinuous injection moulding withou t problems. The Injection Moulding Compounder shown for the first time at K '98, is capable to accomplish just that.
