Abstract
An intrinsically matched coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed two-wavelength slot-l oop antenna operating at 10 GHz has been designed fabricated and tested on a 10k Omega.cm high-resistivity silicon (HRS) wafer. The measured return lo ss -24 dB and far-field radiation patterns are in good agreement with simul ated results. The operating bandwidth (defined for a return loss of -10 dB) is 0.89 GHz, and the calculated beam width is 120 degrees while the gain i s 5 dB. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
