Abstract
Oxa- and azabenzonorbornadienes react with alkynes in the presence of nicke l complexes to give the corresponding [2 + 2 + 2] cycloadducts; these react ions can be applied to the construction of multiple fused rings, the prepar ation of precursors of isobenzofurans and isoindoles and aromatic compounds .
