Abstract
A theory for the beam painting variation of the optical beam from a pulsed XeCl* excimer laser equipped with a positive branch unstable resonator is i ntroduced. The measurements are in good agreement with the calculations. (C ) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
