Abstract
Autoimmune enteropathy (ALE) is an entity reported primarily in infancy, re sulting in intractable diarrhea and associated with small bowel villous atr ophy and the presence Df circulating anti-enterocyte (AEA) antibodies. It i s a multisystem disorder with a response, in many cases, to immunosuppressi ve therapy.
