We derive expressions for the resistivity of diffuse ferromagnets caused by
the rotating magnetization direction in a domain wall for general band str
uctures and state-dependent electron lifetimes. The domain wall resistivity
is enhanced when the Fermi surfaces of the spin-up and spin-down states (n
early) overlap, but in this limit the non-degenerate perturbation theory br
eaks down. The results differ for constant density and constant chemical po
tential and do not agree with those by Levy and Zhang (1997, Phys. Rev. Let
t., 78, 3773) in the two-band model.
