Abstract
It has been shown recently that large fluctuations of a local electric fiel d in metal-dielectric granular films can significantly enhance the Raman sc attering. In this paper, the spatial structure of giant field fluctuations is analyzed. It is shown that these fluctuations are highly correlated in s pace. As a result, these fluctuations also enhance light scattering on hete rogeneous films. [S0163-1829(98)10739-7].
