Ostwald ripening kinetics in a metastable magnetic fluid has been studied t
heoretically under the condition when the highly elongated ellipsoidal shap
e of the new phase elements stretched along the external magnetic field dir
ection is taken into account. The self-similar solutions have been obtained
for the time evolution of a supersaturation [similar to t(-1/3)(ln t)(5/18
)], of a critical and a mean droplike aggregate volume [similar to t(7/6)(l
n t)(-2/3)], of an aggregate concentration [(ln t)(2/3)t(-7/6)]. An aggrega
te distribution density has been found as a function of the aggregate size
