Abstract
The aim of this comment is to reinforce the result of the paper "A fraction al diffusion equation to describe Levy flights" by A.S. Chaves [Phys. Lett. A 239 (1998) 13] by providing a reference to a rigorous proof for a statem ent that was left open. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
