Abstract
The C-14 bomb-pulse signature has been measured by AMS on cross-dateab le teak samples from N- and S-hemisphere locations in the tropics. Exc ellent agreement is found with the atmospheric C-14 content in the per iod 1955 to 1980 for the respective hemispheres. These results demonst rate that C-14 measurements can be used to facilitate growth rate dete rminations in tropical trees.
