Abstract
Malignant uveal melanomas are the most common primary intraocular malignant tumors in adults. Choroidal hemangiomas are congenital, benign, vascular l esions that may be confused with malignant uveal melanomas on clinical exam ination. The MR imaging characteristics of uveal melanomas and choroidal he mangiomas are different, making diagnostic differentiation possible with a high degree of accuracy. This article describes the MR imaging features of uveal melanoma, choroidal hemangioma, and other simulating lesions.
