Abstract
We consider integrals of the form integral(R)(infinity) chi l(f)(k(f)r )chi l(i)(k(i)r)r(-lambda+1) dr, where chi l(f)(k(f)r) and chi l(i)(k( i)r) are Bessel or Coulomb wave functions. Integrals of this type occu r in very many scattering calculations and it is frequently the case t hat a large number need to be evaluated to high accuracy and with grea t efficiency. In this paper we present a systematic study of the metho d available for this evaluation and show how they may be effectively d ealt with.
