A case of acute lead intoxication of dairy cows after intesting fragments o
f a lead accumulator is reported. The clinical, pathological, anatomical, c
hemical and toxicological findings are presented. In addition the results o
f prospective investigations of the excretion of lead in milk following thi
s natural intoxication are reported. The lead concentration in the milk of
affected was equal to or smaller than the accepted normal concentration of
0.03 mg/l after 42 days and 22 days,for individual and hulk milk samples, r
espectively.
