Abstract
The composition and stability of macromolecular metal-complexes formed by d ifferent carboxyl-containing copolymers and the ions of polyvalent metals ( Fe3+, Al3+) were determined. The amount of Fe3+ ions bound with copolymer w as estimated by a variation in the absorption spectra of aqueous solutions. The stability of the copolymer-metal ion complexes was studied by the lumi nescence quenching of a polymer solution labeled with luminescent ions, the process being related to the lifetime of these ions in the complexes with macromolecules.
