Abstract
The sensitivity of ozone formation in a photochemical model to the photolys is rates has been studied using two photolytic schemes (old EMEP and UKPTM) . The results from the comparison of these rates illustrate how the differe nt parameterisation may influence the ozone development. The implementation of the UKPTM photolysis rates into the EMEP chemical scheme resulted in lo wer ozone levels than those predicted using the old EMEP photolytic scheme.
