Abstract
Human placenta is a viable source of many useful products. Some of the prod ucts obtained are of use in health care industry. This review article deals with cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, blood products and hormone like substance s obtained from human placenta. Various methods of their extraction, purifi cation, characterization and their method of preparation have been discusse d in detail.
