Abstract
Treatment of the [Mo(eta(3)-C3H4Me)(bipy)(CO)(2)(Me2CO)](+) cation with an aqueous MoO42- solution enabled the first structural characterisation of an (eta(3)-allyl)MoO complex, which aggregates to a dimer showing Mo-O ... H- C contacts in the solid state.
