Several studies have shown that most sustained supraventricular tachyc
ardia can be induced during electrophysiologic studies.(1-11) However,
some documented tachyarrhythmias could not be induced during such stu
dies despite infusion of isoproterenol and atropine. To study the elec
trophysiologic mechanisms and characteristics of these patients is imp
ortant because the correct diagnosis and target site selected for abla
tion may be overlooked.
