Abstract
The present study demonstrates the feasibility of delineating the carotid b ulb and the proximal portions of the Left external and left internal caroti d arteries during transesophageal examination. This was accomplished by slo wly and carefully withdrawing the probe front the esophagus in to the phary nx.
